One Mission helps kids and families get through cancer treatment – one day at a time.

One Mission programs make living in the hospital less lonely and stressful, bring back joy in a time of fear and uncertainty, and give kids and their loved ones the support they need to get through the emotional and financial challenges of treatment. Kids with cancer are still just kids. They love movie nights, play dates, ice cream and pizza parties. They love books, games, and toys. One Mission does whatever it takes to make those things possible for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Meet Mateo:

Mateo is the 12 year old son of one of our very first and favorite customers Mandy Goldman. We met Mandy when she walked through the doors of the Brookline shop nearly 16 years ago! In 2016 Mateo was diagnosed with B cell A.L.L., a form of childhood leukemia.  After a month of treatment at Boston Children's Hospital Mateo failed to go into remission causing him to have a bone marrow transplant in 2017.  After 3.5 years of being cancer free, but not without suffering complications from the transplant, his cancer came back. He is currently undergoing his second round of chemo and preparing for another bone marrow transplant with the same positive attitude and incredible strength that he has shown throughout his entire journey. This time his older brother Leo is going to be his donor!  Aside from Leo, Mateo has 2 other siblings (Milo and Violet) and tons of family and friends from Brookline and Duxbury (where the Goldmans now reside) who adore him.  We love and support you, Mateo! #Mateotough
